Best WooCommerce Discount Plugins in 2026: Honest Comparison

Best WooCommerce Discount Plugins Compared (2026 Honest Review)

WooCommerce Plugin Comparison

Choose the plugin that fits your next promotion

Compare free and paid discount tools by the offer you need, the price customers see, and the rules your store must enforce.

Which WooCommerce discount plugin should you choose?

Start with Discount Rules by Flycart for free percentage-based bulk discounts; Smart Cycle Discounts for free BOGO and recurring campaigns; YITH for its pricing features and ecosystem integrations; or RightPress Pricepep for a broad paid pricing, BOGO and fees engine. Native WooCommerce sale prices remain a useful option when you only need to reduce product prices.

The free/paid distinction matters: Flycart lists BOGO under Pro; Smart Cycle Discounts includes BOGO free. RightPress also supports BOGO. Compare the specific offer, not just a check mark beside “discounts.”

WooCommerce discount plugins: free and paid comparison

These are purchase and feature boundaries from the linked vendor sources. A scheduled start/end date is different from a campaign that repeats every week. Product price adjustments are also different from a discount applied to the cart total.

Option Free starting point Paid capabilities / boundary Shortlist when
Discount Rules (Flycart) Percentage-based product, bulk and cart-total offers BOGO, fixed product discounts and advanced conditions are listed under Pro Quantity pricing and conditional offers drive the promotion
YITH Dynamic Pricing and Discounts The product compared here is premium Quantity offers, BOGO, cart rules, scheduled rules and YITH integrations You need its rule combinations or already use compatible YITH tools
Pricepep (RightPress) The CodeCanyon product is paid Product pricing, cart discounts, fees, bulk/tiered pricing and Buy X Get Y A broad pricing engine fits better than separate tools for each rule
Smart Cycle Discounts Percentage, fixed and BOGO offers; shared codes; recurring schedules Tiered pricing, spend thresholds, bundles and bulk unique codes require Pro You manage promotions as campaigns with a start, end and repeat pattern
WooCommerce native Product sale prices and core product management No additional discount plugin required for a simple price reduction You can manage the promotion with product prices alone

1. Discount Rules for WooCommerce by Flycart

Flycart is a useful first choice for percentage-based bulk pricing and a candidate for more complex rules through Pro. Its official listing separates the free functions from BOGO, fixed product discounts, role-based conditions and other paid capabilities.

Why choose it: start with a quantity-break offer, then evaluate whether the paid condition builder covers your product combinations. The listing also documents product-page discount display, sale badges and quantity tables; describing it as “cart-only with no sale display” would be inaccurate.

Check before installing: whether the exact discount type and conditions you need are free or Pro. Do not assume a general “bulk discounts” claim covers every fixed-price or customer-specific variation. Source: Flycart’s official WordPress.org listing. 2. YITH WooCommerce Dynamic Pricing and Discounts

YITH’s paid extension documents quantity discounts, BOGO, cart offers, start/end scheduling, role eligibility and price displays. Its integrations with other YITH products can matter when your promotion depends on memberships or another part of that ecosystem.

Why choose it: you need one of those combinations and prefer the documented YITH workflow. Check before buying: the precise integration, rule priority and renewal terms. Automatic start/end dates do not by themselves establish recurring weekly scheduling, and product compatibility must be checked for your versions.

3. Pricepep: WooCommerce Dynamic Pricing by RightPress

RightPress now presents this product as Pricepep. It combines product pricing, cart discounts and fees, including bulk/tiered rules and Buy X Get Y offers. It does support BOGO. It belongs on a shortlist for wholesale pricing and for stores combining several pricing patterns.

Why choose it: you want those rule types in a paid engine. Check before buying: the current license/support terms, customer eligibility conditions and behavior when several rules match. We have not measured its performance against the other plugins in this article.

4. Smart Cycle Discounts by Webstepper

Smart Cycle Discounts organizes offers into campaigns. Its free tier includes percentage, fixed and BOGO discounts, shared campaign codes, role/location targeting and recurring schedules. Pro adds tiered quantity pricing, spend thresholds, bundles and bulk unique-code generation.

Why choose it: your main task is to prepare, schedule and repeat a promotion. Its campaign workflow includes pre-launch checks for overlapping offers and other configuration risks.

Check before choosing: whether the required promotion is in the free tier. Storefront price filtering can show the active price without storing it in the product’s sale-price field; a database-driven “On Sale” collection or feed needs its own compatibility check. A campaign workflow may also be a poor fit for a highly specific cross-category condition.

5. WooCommerce native sale prices

Keep native product sale prices on the shortlist if the requirement is simply “these products cost less.” WooCommerce also has bulk product editing, so native pricing is not limited to editing every item individually.

Why choose it: a simple promotion may not need an extra plugin. Limit: a product sale price alone is not a BOGO rule, a customer-role pricing system or a recurring campaign manager. It is still necessary to check the theme, cache and other pricing extensions; “100% compatible with everything” is not a useful guarantee.

How this comparison is evaluated

We compare the promotion you can configure, the license tier it requires, where the customer sees the saving, and how the offer starts and stops. Vendor documentation supports feature availability; it does not prove a plugin will behave correctly in every store. We have not assigned invented scores for speed, support quality or conversion uplift.

What matters beyond the feature list?

Storefront prices and cart discounts are separate checks

For a $40 product with 25% off, the intended unit price is $30. Check the shop card, product page, selected variation, cart and order. A correct cart total does not prove the category page is showing the offer. Likewise, a sale badge does not establish that a product feed or database query can see a stored sale price.

Coupon combinations can change the final discount

A 20% campaign followed by a 10% coupon gives 28% off if the second discount applies to the reduced price: $100 becomes $80, then $72. That is different from adding the percentages to get 30%. Define the intended calculation before testing overlapping discounts.

Scheduling needs an end-state check

Record the store timezone, check the start and end boundary, then visit the store in a fresh session after expiry. A weekly campaign should repeat on the intended days without manual editing. The scheduled-sale troubleshooting guide covers timing failures.

Five practical checks before choosing a plugin

Use a staging copy with the theme, cache and checkout your store actually uses. These are acceptance checks to run, not results claimed for the products above.

Scenario Worked expectation What to record
25% product discount $40 becomes $30 before tax/shipping Shop, product, variation, cart and order prices
Buy 2, get 1 free Three eligible $20 units total $40 Whether all three must be added and how quantity 4 behaves
Quantity break If all units get 10% off at quantity 10, ten $20 units total $180 Boundary at 9/10 units and whether variations combine
Two matching offers Your chosen priority/stacking policy wins Displayed rule, final price and coupon interaction
Campaign expiry Promotional price ends at the configured boundary Fresh/cached sessions and classic/block checkout

For BOGO details use the BOGO setup guide; for quantity logic use the tiered-pricing walkthrough. Record plugin/WooCommerce versions and keep screenshots of both a passing case and an edge case.

Choose around the offer, then test the shortlist

Write one sentence describing the promotion: products, customer eligibility, saving, schedule and combination policy. Pick the two tools that document that requirement in the tier you can use. Reproduce the same promotion in each. The better fit is the one that delivers the intended prices and is easier for your team to operate reliably.

For a broader pricing-engine shortlist, read the dynamic pricing comparison. If you specifically need coupon creation and distribution, start with bulk coupon generators.

Common questions

Which free WooCommerce discount plugin is best?

For the options reviewed here, choose by the free feature you need: Flycart for percentage-based bulk offers, or Smart Cycle Discounts for BOGO and repeating campaigns. A paid feature listed on a free plugin’s page is not part of its free tier.

Do I need a paid plugin for BOGO?

Not always. Smart Cycle Discounts includes BOGO free. Flycart lists it under Pro, while the YITH and RightPress products compared here are paid options.

Can multiple discount plugins run together?

They may affect the same prices or cart totals. Test their combination, define which system owns each promotion, and disable overlapping rules where necessary. Compatibility cannot be inferred from separate feature lists.

Will a discount plugin increase conversions?

This comparison does not establish a conversion uplift. Measure promotion revenue, margin, completed checkouts and errors against your own baseline; a larger discount can raise sales while reducing profit.

Our recommendation

Use the smallest shortlist that covers your offer. Keep native sale prices for simple reductions, examine rule engines for complex conditions, and consider a campaign tool when schedules, repetition and coordinated offers are the operational problem. Verify the exact free/paid boundary before investing time in setup.
