Spend Threshold Discounts

Spend threshold discounts reward customers when their cart reaches certain spending levels. This encourages larger purchases by offering better discounts at higher cart totals. This feature requires Smart Cycle Discounts Pro.
How Spend Thresholds Work #
You define spending levels (thresholds), each with its own discount. Customers automatically receive the best applicable discount based on their cart total for qualifying products.
Example Configuration #

A customer with a $150 cart qualifies for the $100 threshold (10% off), paying $135.
Configuration Options #
Creating Thresholds #
Each threshold requires:

Threshold Limits #
- Minimum thresholds: 1
- Maximum thresholds: 10
- Thresholds must have ascending minimum spend amounts
- Discounts typically increase with spend levels
Setting Up Spend Thresholds #
- Navigate to SC Discounts → Campaigns → Add New Campaign
- Complete Step 1 (Basic Information) and Step 2 (Products)
- On Step 3: Discount Configuration:
- Select “Spend Threshold” as the discount type
- Click “Add Threshold” to create your first tier
- Configure each threshold:
- Enter the minimum spend amount
- Select discount type (percentage or fixed)
- Enter the discount value
- Add additional thresholds as needed
- Continue to scheduling and review
Discount Type Options #
Percentage Off Cart #
The entire qualifying cart receives a percentage discount:
Threshold: Spend $100, get 10% off Cart: $150 in qualifying products Discount: $150 × 10% = $15 Final: $135
Fixed Amount Off Cart #
A fixed amount is deducted from the qualifying cart:
Threshold: Spend $100, get $15 off Cart: $150 in qualifying products Discount: $15 Final: $135
Cart Calculation #
Qualifying Products Only #
Only products in the campaign count toward the threshold:
Campaign: Spend thresholds on Electronics category Cart contains: - Laptop ($800) - Electronics ✓ - Phone case ($30) - Electronics ✓ - T-Shirt ($25) - Clothing ✗ Qualifying total: $830 Non-qualifying: $25 (full price) If threshold is "Spend $500, get 15% off": Electronics discount: $830 × 15% = $124.50 T-Shirt: $25 (no discount) Cart total: $730.50
