All Products Mode
1 min read
The “All Products” selection mode applies your discount to every product in your store (or within selected categories). This is the simplest way to create store-wide promotions.
When to Use All Products #
This mode is ideal for:
- Store-wide sales – Black Friday, holiday clearance, anniversary sales
- Seasonal promotions – End of season, summer sale, winter clearance
- Grand opening events – New store launch promotions
- Customer appreciation – Thank you discounts for all customers
- Simple promotions – When you want easy setup without product picking
How It Works #
- Select “All Products” in Step 2 of the Campaign Wizard
- Optionally filter by categories (see below)
- The discount applies to every matching product
- New products added to your store automatically receive the discount
Category Filtering #
You can combine “All Products” with category filtering:
No Category Filter (Default) #
Every published product in your store receives the discount.
With Category Filter #
Only products in selected categories receive the discount.
Example:
- Select categories: “Clothing”, “Accessories”
- Choose “All Products”
- Result: All clothing and accessory products are discounted
Automatic Product Inclusion #
A key benefit of “All Products” mode is automatic inclusion:
| Scenario | What Happens |
|---|---|
| New product added | Automatically included in the campaign |
| Product moved to selected category | Automatically included |
| Product moved out of category | Automatically excluded |
| Product deleted | No longer in campaign |
| Product set to draft/private | Excluded from discount |
How Exclusions Work #
Even in “All Products” mode, some products may not receive the discount:
Priority Conflicts #
If another campaign with higher priority targets specific products, those products receive the higher-priority discount instead.
Product Status #
Only published, purchasable products receive discounts. Excluded:
- Draft products
- Private products
- Out of stock products (configurable)
- External/affiliate products
Pro Conditions #
If you add advanced conditions (Pro), products not matching those conditions are excluded even in “All Products” mode.
Performance Considerations #
For stores with many products (1,000+), “All Products” mode is actually more efficient because:
- No product ID list needs to be stored
- Products are evaluated at runtime
- Database queries are optimized for this mode
Example Use Cases #
Store-Wide 20% Off #
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Categories | (None – all categories) |
| Selection | All Products |
| Discount | 20% off |
| Priority | 3 |
Clothing Category Sale #
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Categories | Clothing, Shoes |
| Selection | All Products |
| Discount | 30% off |
| Priority | 4 |
Clearance with Higher Priority #
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Categories | Clearance |
| Selection | All Products |
| Discount | 50% off |
| Priority | 5 |
Best Practices #
- Use Categories When Possible: Rather than discounting literally everything, target relevant categories
- Set Appropriate Priority: Store-wide sales usually use priority 3, category sales use 4
- Consider Your Margins: All-product discounts affect revenue significantly
- Schedule Wisely: Set clear end dates to avoid indefinite discounting
- Monitor Performance: Track revenue impact with analytics (Pro)
Combining with Other Campaigns #
You can run “All Products” campaigns alongside specific campaigns:
Example Strategy:
- Campaign A: 10% off all products (Priority 2)
- Campaign B: 25% off clearance items (Priority 4)
- Result: Clearance items get 25% off, everything else gets 10% off
The priority system ensures the right discount applies to each product.
