Campaign Priority Card #
Priority Level (Required) #
Priority determines which discount applies when multiple campaigns target the same product. Higher priority campaigns take precedence.
| Level | Description | When to Use |
|---|---|---|
| 5 (Highest) | Critical Priority | Flash sales, VIP exclusives, urgent clearance |
| 4 | High Priority | Major events like Black Friday, seasonal launches |
| 3 (Default) | Normal Priority | Regular promotions, standard sales |
| 2 | Low Priority | Background discounts, loyalty programs |
| 1 (Lowest) | Minimum Priority | Catch-all discounts, fallback campaigns |
How Priority Works #
When a product is included in multiple active campaigns:
- The system checks all campaigns targeting that product
- Only the highest priority campaign’s discount applies
- Lower priority campaigns are ignored for that product
Example Scenario:
- Campaign A: 20% off all products (Priority 3)
- Campaign B: 30% off electronics (Priority 4)
- Result: Electronic products get 30% off (Campaign B), other products get 20% off (Campaign A)
Priority Strategy Tips #
- Use Priority 5 sparingly – Reserve for truly critical promotions
- Priority 3 is your workhorse – Most campaigns should use default priority
- Plan ahead – Consider upcoming campaigns when setting priority
- Document your system – Keep track of which priority levels you use for what
