Recurring Campaign Tips #
Choosing Discount Levels #
For recurring sales, use sustainable discounts:
| Frequency | Recommended Discount |
|---|---|
| Every weekend | 10-15% |
| A few days per month | 15-20% |
| Monthly | 20-25% |
Reason: Customers expect and anticipate these discounts, so they need to be margin-sustainable long-term.
Category Selection #
- Choose categories that make sense for weekend shopping
- Rotate categories periodically to keep it fresh
- Consider seasonal category adjustments
Avoid Discount Dependency #
- Don’t discount your entire store every weekend
- Keep some products at full price always
- Vary the categories to avoid training customers to only buy on sale
Marketing Automation #
Scheduled Emails #
Set up recurring emails to match your weekend sales:
- Friday evening: “Weekend Sale Starts Now!”
- Saturday morning: “Weekend Sale – Day 2”
- Sunday afternoon: “Last Chance – Sale Ends Tonight!”
Social Media Templates #
Prepare reusable social content:
- Create templates with placeholder images
- Schedule recurring posts in your social tool
- Update featured products periodically

Combining with Other Campaigns #
Flash Sale Override #
When you run a flash sale during a weekend:
- Give flash sale higher priority (4 or 5)

Seasonal Overlap #
During seasonal sales (Black Friday, etc.):
- Consider pausing weekend sale
- Or let seasonal sale take priority
- Avoid discount confusion
