Bundle Discount Campaign
1 min read
Bundle discount campaigns are ideal when you want customers to buy a complete set of related products together. This use case shows how to launch a practical, margin-safe bundle offer. Bundle discounts require Smart Cycle Discounts Pro.
Use Case: “Desk Setup Bundle” #
Business Goal #
Increase average order value by encouraging customers to buy a full desk setup instead of single items.
Bundle Contents #
- Mechanical Keyboard
- Wireless Mouse
- Desk Mat
Offer #
Fixed Bundle Price: All 3 items for $149.99
Why This Works #
- Clear value: One simple price for the full set
- Cross-sell lift: Converts accessory add-ons into default purchase behavior
- Better checkout confidence: Customers see a complete solution, not separate decisions

Expected Cart Behavior #
Complete Bundle #
Discount applies only when all required bundle products are present in cart.
Incomplete Bundle #
No bundle discount is applied until the missing item(s) are added.
Uneven Quantities #
If quantities don’t form full sets, only complete-set quantities are discounted.
Example Calculations #
Complete Set #
Regular prices: - Keyboard: $89.99 - Mouse: $49.99 - Mat: $29.99 Regular total: $169.97 Bundle price: $149.99 Customer savings: $19.98
Partial Set (No Discount Yet) #
Cart: - Keyboard: 1 - Mouse: 1 - Mat: 0 Result: Bundle discount does not apply
Optimization Tips #
- Use a strong bundle name: “Desk Setup Bundle” performs better than generic labels
- Keep bundle size tight: 2-4 items usually converts best
- Use high intent items: include products commonly bought together
- Test headline pricing: e.g. $149.99 vs $149.00 vs $145.00
- Set priority intentionally: avoid unexpected overrides from lower-value campaigns
Common Mistakes to Avoid #
- Including low-stock items that frequently break bundle completeness
- Setting bundle discount so high that margin becomes negative
- Running overlapping campaigns at higher priority on the same products
- Not testing mixed-quantity carts before launch
