Scheduled Reports

Scheduled reports automatically send analytics summaries to your email on a regular basis, helping you stay informed about campaign performance without logging in. This feature requires Smart Cycle Discounts Pro.
Report Types #
Daily Summary #
Sent each morning with previous day’s performance:
- Revenue from discounted products
- Number of conversions
- Top performing campaign
- Comparison to previous day
Weekly Summary #
Sent weekly with 7-day overview:
- Total week revenue and conversions
- Campaign performance ranking
- Best and worst performing days
- Week-over-week comparison
Monthly Summary #
Sent monthly with comprehensive report:
- Full month performance metrics
- All campaign statistics
- Top products by discount sales
- Month-over-month trends
- Recommendations for next month
Configuring Scheduled Reports #
Access Settings #
- Go to SC Discounts → Notifications
- Click “Scheduled Reports” tab
- Configure your preferences
- Click “Save Settings”
Configuration Options #

Recipient Management #
Adding Recipients #
- Enter email address in the recipient field
- Click “Add”
- Repeat for additional recipients
Recipient Limits #
- Up to 5 recipients per report type
- Each recipient can be different per report type
- Invalid emails are rejected
Removing Recipients #
Click the X next to any email address to remove.
Report Timing #
Daily Reports #
Sent at your configured time each day (default: 8:00 AM site timezone).
Weekly Reports #
Sent on the first day of your configured week:
- Monday morning for Mon-Sun weeks
- Sunday morning for Sun-Sat weeks
Monthly Reports #
Sent on the 1st of each month, covering the previous month.
Report Contents #
Email Format #
Reports are sent as HTML emails with:
- Professional formatting
- Charts and visualizations
- Mobile-responsive design
- Plain-text fallback

Customizing Reports #
Include/Exclude Sections #
Toggle which sections appear in reports:
- Campaign breakdown (default: on)
- Product performance (default: off)
- Geographic data (default: off)
- Recommendations (default: on)
Comparison Period #
Choose what to compare against:
- Previous period: Yesterday, last week, last month
- Same period last year: Year-over-year comparison
Testing Reports #
Send Test Email #
- Configure your report settings
- Click “Send Test” button
- Test email sent immediately to all recipients
- Uses current data (not historical)
Preview Report #
Click “Preview” to see exactly how the report will appear without sending.
Troubleshooting #
Reports not arriving #
- Check spam/junk folder
- Verify recipient email addresses
- Ensure WordPress can send emails (check with test email)
- Check WP-Cron is running
Reports arriving at wrong time #
- Verify WordPress timezone setting
- WP-Cron may have slight delays on low-traffic sites
- Consider setting up server-level cron
Data seems incorrect #
- Reports use data as of generation time
- Late orders may not appear in daily reports
- Refunds processed after report may not reflect
Email Delivery #
From Address #
Reports are sent from your WordPress admin email by default. Configure in Settings → General.
Email Provider #
Uses your configured WordPress email method:
- WordPress default (wp_mail)
- SMTP plugin if configured
- Transactional email service
Deliverability Tips #
- Use a reputable SMTP service
- Configure SPF/DKIM for your domain
- Ensure from address matches your domain
- Add recipients to contact list to prevent spam filtering
Disabling Reports #
Temporarily #
Toggle individual report types off without losing settings.
Permanently #
Turn off all report types and optionally clear recipient list.
For Specific Recipients #
Remove individual email addresses while keeping reports active for others.
