Questions about TrustLens pricing, licensing, what’s included in each tier, and how upgrades and renewals work.
How much does TrustLens cost? #
TrustLens Free is free on WordPress.org — no trial limits, no disabled features, no time-bombs. TrustLens Pro is licensed annually with pricing tiers based on number of sites. Current pricing is on the TrustLens pricing page.
What does the Free tier include? #

Is there a free trial of Pro? #
Yes. New customers can start a free trial of Pro from the Pricing page in their admin. Trial duration is shown at signup.
How does licensing work? #
Pro is licensed per WordPress installation. License management goes through Freemius (the standard WordPress plugin licensing platform). After purchase:
- You receive a license key by email
- Enter it in your WordPress admin under TrustLens → License
- Pro features unlock immediately
- Renewal happens automatically on the annual anniversary
Can I use one Pro license on multiple sites? #
Depends on the plan you purchase. Single-site licenses cover one installation; multi-site bundles cover multiple. Agency / unlimited licenses allow installation on any sites you manage.

How are sites counted for license enforcement? #
Each unique site URL counts as one installation. If you have:
- Production site
- Staging site
- Development site
…each counts separately by default. Staging/development sites can often be designated as such to share the production license — check the licensing UI.
What happens if I let my Pro license expire? #
Pro features stop working after expiration. Your customer trust data remains intact. The Free tier features continue to work.
You can renew at any time — Pro features unlock again on renewal.
What happens to my data when I downgrade from Pro to Free? #
Nothing destructive. All customer trust profiles, signal history, settings, blocks, allowlists, admin notes, automation rules, and chargeback records remain. You lose access to Pro features:
- Automation rules stop executing (existing rules are preserved but inactive)
- Chargeback Monitor page becomes unavailable; Free speedometer takes over
- Card-Testing Pro features (auto-escalation, allowlists) stop working
- Pro notifications stop firing
Re-upgrading restores everything.
Can I refund a Pro purchase? #
Refund policy is described at purchase time. Generally, a money-back period is available for new purchases. Renewals may or may not be refundable depending on terms in effect.
How do I cancel my Pro subscription? #
License cancellation goes through Freemius. Options:
- Log into your Freemius account
- Find the TrustLens subscription
- Cancel renewal
You retain access to Pro features until the end of the current paid period.
Are there discounts for non-profits / education / open source? #
Check the Pricing page or contact TrustLens support — discount programs vary over time.
What about white-label / agency licensing? #
Agency tier licenses include white-label options. Check the Pricing page for current agency-tier features.
Does Pro include support? #
Yes — Pro includes priority support through the TrustLens support portal. Free users have access to community support through WordPress.org plugin forums.
What’s the difference between site license and developer license? #
Site licenses cover specific WordPress installations. Developer licenses (where offered) allow installation on developer / staging environments without counting against site limits.
If you build sites for clients, an agency / multi-site license is usually the right fit.
How do I transfer a license to a new site (e.g. site migration)? #
The Freemius license management UI handles license activation / deactivation per site. Deactivate on the old site, activate on the new site — same license key.
Do upgrades within the major version cost extra? #
No. Minor and patch updates are included throughout your license period. Major version upgrades within the license period are also typically included; check the version policy on the Pricing page.
Can I see Pro features before buying? #
Free trial is the most direct way. Documentation throughout this site shows what Pro adds. The TrustLens marketing site has feature demos and screenshots.
How do I contact sales for custom requirements? #
The TrustLens contact page has sales contact information. For:
